A friend has several debts that he has been paying off on arrangements.
Tonight I did a credit check for him, all his debts are listed except a loan for 22k from Lloydsicon, but his Lloyds CC was listed.
In 2003 he tried to claim on the insurance as he had a stroke and was unable to work, the insurance made some payments (He's not sure how many as his wife dealt with it, but has some paperwork still) and received a letter saying they will be unable to make any more payments as the cover is only for a maximum of 24 months. Miss sold PPIicon??
In 2004 his wife died and he was financially a mess, fell behind with everything, managed to pay token offers on things.
He had several threatening letters about this debt and endless phone calls, a letter was sent in June 2009 to the DCA, Notice to cease harrassment, with the help of a friend.
He received a letter thanking him for his letter, they have noted his comments and sought further information from there client, we will contact you shortly.
He stopped making payments in 2009 as he had a heart attack and was in hospital, and hit major depression about everything, he hasn't heard from anyone since

Any ideas why he has heard nothing and why this debt is NOT listed on his credit file??
He doesn't want to open a can of worms up!!

I have also posted this in the CRA section on here.
