Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hi everyone, fantastic work!
I have a quick question regarding a Prove It letter - if there's no CCA (such as in a dispute over a mobile phone contract), does the proof of debt still have to come within a set time limit?
Also, is there a time limit on a DCA to provide a copy of the executed Deed of Assignment?
If either of these go over the limit, do they make the debt unenforcable, or is that just the case for CCA's?
you will not get a deed of assignment - only a notice of assignment from either the oc or DCA or both - this should be send when the debt is sold / passed on
over time limit on a cca means the debt is unenforceable until such time as it is sent
