Greetings fellow-consumers, I have a Silver account in Lloyds TSB, and I got this notification this morning, something about incurred charges which are due next month, I am new to uk banking system and not that good with english language when it comes to terminology also. They say something like:
Charges for your monthly billing period 2 December 2009 to 4 January 2010
UNPLANNED O/D FEES - f45.00
TOTAL - f45.00
These charges will be debited at close of business on 1 February 2010
5 daily fee(s) of f6 where Unplanned overdraft balance is f0.01 - f24.99
Period from 02.12.2009 - 06.12.2009
What is this all mean?
I have only f10.00 on my account and DO NOT understand what they actually want from me, are they want to charge me for 45f ? Please help me and clarify this issue. I can provide more info. Thank you.
Thanks for the quick reply jdes26. When exactly I broke my overdraft? Does it still broken or it was some time ago. Does it say there? What should I do, what should I tell them, I don't have any money right now, and I most certainly don't want to pay this sum.
In fact, I really didn't knew that I had an overdraft, can I cancel it?
how much did you have in your bank when you went overdrawn
ill give u an example if you had £50 in your bank and you spent £60 on a purchase that would give you -£10 in your account now if you havent got a overdraft facility that means you would incur charges. so explain what happened please
Well, my balance did go low somewhere in December, but I quickly have putted cash on it. Was I suppose to do something else? Damn that bureaucratic system! I don't understand why 45 pounds, that's obscure!
ring them up and explain you cant afford as its your first time.... this site is fighting for a fair banking system
there are people here who have been charged thousands of pounds .... and yes i am one of them
