Default Barclays overdraft and Debt Managers Ltd

    Hi
Last March Barclaysicon suddenly decided to demand repayment of my overdrafticon, which then stood at nearly £19,000. I have explained that I could not do this is one go, but have been paying back over £500 per month since then. My balance at the end of January will be just over £9,000.
I have explained that the payments I am making are the maximum I can afford, and have provided an income/expenditure sheet to prove this. My wife and I are both retired and not in good health.
I have now received a letter from Debt Managers Ltd, again demanding full payment and listing all the things they might do if I don't pay up (like visit us, go to court etc).
I am really not sure what to do next, other than keeping up the payments I have been making.
Any suggestions will be gratefully received!
    Thanks.

Thanks for your sympathy 247 orbital. Obviously I don't understand it either! Why hand my debt on, presumably at a discount, when it is being paid off anyway?

have you received any default notices ??,also i would SARicon sharklycard and adding to the request you need a copy of the original agreement as you cannot cca them for an overdraft acc.
send a £10 po for the fee and do not sign it only ever print your nameicon.
you can then see if any excessive charges have been put on you acc.
    £500 a month mental !!!!!!! payments.

    Hi
    Thanks for the suggestion.
I have received notification that I have not paid back my overdrafticon as requested; fairly obvious I thought.
I also have a list of all charges applied to my account for the last 6 yearsicon as I was in the process of relcaiming these charges before the Supeme Court stuck their oar in. This approach was allowing me to hold off further action while I continued to pay off the overdraft. I have also applied for a hardship repayment, but I don't think I meet the criteria unfortunately.
Are you saying that I should apply for a copy of my original agreement to an overdraft (about 20 years ago I guess)?
    Thanks for your help.
