Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I am just about to write by lba. I need clarification on:
Do you only claim for 6 years? when does that 6 years run from? Does it run from the first letter you sent?
If you do claim for more than 6 years ( I did I claimed back to 1998) will you lose your case?
Do I include all interest charges in my LBA? My original letter only calimed for unauthorised charges which were not interest?
If the 6 year rule is valid, do I write back with my LBA with an amended figure taking into account my mistakes of claiming over 6 years and forgetting the interest charges?
