Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Can anyone help with any information, two years ago I fell ill and was put in hospital my wife contacted our morgage company and ask if we could claim insurence to cover the payments, we were told we didnt have any insurance, so we ended up nearly lossing the house and having to payback not only the missed morgage payment but interest charges as well for falling behind, low and be hold we have recieved a letter telling us the company is no longer doing insurance cover and we should find another company to cover the insurance we have with them we called them and they confirmed we did have insurance but when we tryed to claim back the charges they say they have no record of our call even though it was admitted they do not record them all and refuse point blank to make any payment back even though supplied with a letter proving I was in hospital and ill ^%&*& ^&*(
Read the stickies at the top of the PPI section. You will see your first step is a SAR. It costs £10. This will give all details of your account - they should have your call recorded on their system. It should also provide a copy of your original agreement and you will be able to see if you asked for PPI or not. Send it recorded delivery.
When you get that info you can decide whether to go for mis-sold PPI.
In the meantime, British Insurance (or Insurers, can't remember) is a good company to try for a quote for replacement PPI. Just google them.
