Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hi all, Ive recently had my car finance debt sold to a third party. Its been sold cos i had to give the car back and wasnt happy with the final settlement they wanted me to pay. I questioned them and had no reply and then forgot about it. Then after about 6 months, i was told that my debt had been sold as i hadnt done anything about paying them back, but i had, by sending them the letter with the questions etc. What can i do about this and my credit report, which obviously now has a Default against it, as now they have sold the debt, they dont seem to care.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Did you send your letter by recorded delivery and if so was it signed for?
If not, there denial of ever receiving it will have to be taken at face value unless you can show otherwise.
