Catalogue Companies?? Are they included in this.

Hi,

I need a little advice. Has anyone tried this with a catalogue company?
I'll admit, most of my charges were due to late payments but most of the time i paid more than the amount due on my Freemans catalogue account. It all ended with them calling me asking me to pay up (i was late paying the last instalment) then i received a letter mentioning something to do with Experian, i did'nt really read it, i was so angry

i tore it up and threw it in the bin, i presume they have entered a default against my credit score or whatever they do. I'm not really all that bothered about reclaiming the charges as they can't add up to much but it's the credit score thing that's bothering me.
Can anyone help?

Short answer, yes it applies to them.

Follow the instructions on here (read the FAQ's) and set about getting your money back. Even if it's only a few quid it is YOUR MONEY, not theirs, they have UNLAWFULLY taken in from you.

When you get it back (with interest icon

, of course) make absulutely sure that you get an agreement from them that they will remove any negative credit information about you from your credit file - that's REMOVE the information, not amend or correct it.
