Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Here is an address for a department which seems to like to hide itself away from the public. They should really know their stuff as they are responsible for ensuring compliance by the branches. Send your S.A.R - (Subject access request) to them. They of all people should understand what is needed and should make sure that it happens.
If you don't get your information - then call them and complain. Insist that they handle it when they try to fob you off somewhere else

HOW TO OBTAIN YOUR STATEMENTS ON LINE: -
Once registered, a user can log on and view statements. On the page where you see the detailed entries, there is a box entitled "Please select a statement option" - click on the little downward arrow at the right, and a drop down menu appears. Choose "search your statements" and hit "go". Then appears a form which allows you to search for statements, up to three months at a time. You can go back to 1 July 2002 only.
This might be useful to a few people around here. Letters are very untraceable in my experience if sent to their PO BOX so send direct.
Thank you for your enquiry, regarding BLS Collections.
I have been looking into this for you.
As far as I can ascertain, BLS Collections is part of Lloyds TSB plc.
The main address for the section dealing with debt recovery is:
Consumer Debt Recovery Team
Lloyds TSB plc
Queens Road Quadrant
Brighton BN1 3XJ
BLS Collections have confirmed to me that they deal with debt recovery issues, on behalf of Lloyds TSB plc. They informed me that any request sent to BLS Collections, PO Box 467E, Oxford, OX4 1WA, is forwarded to the Consumer Debt Recovery team.
However, if you want copies of any of the Consumer Credit Agreements, then I suggest you need to write to directly to the Consumer Debt Recovery team at the address I have given above. I suggest you use the recorded delivery service of Royal Mail and make sure you enclosed the required £1 fee.
They will have 12 working days (a working week is counted as five days - Monday to Friday), from when they receive the written request, to reply with the required documents. The creditor must not take more that 30 days to comply.
Yours sincerely,

Re: BLS Collections (LTSB) direct address not PO BOX
I've just discovered this fake address for myself after trying to get a special delivery letter signed for. The Royal Mail have confirmed there is no such PO Box or postcode. A redirect was in place and my letter has disappeared into a black hole.
What I want to know is whether this practice breaks any rules and regulations, because I'd love to do something about this.
After assisting with A Lloyds TSB customer who has issues regarding Lloyds non Compliance with their SAR-I have noticed from the ICO Database for Data Controllers that the Birmingham address does not feature for their data controller-certainly not for personal accounts-the address that is registered comes up at the London R/O
I am posting the whole entries from the Lloyds TSB registrations-simply click on the one which applies to open up the details.
My thoughts are that the one people have been using is the copy statement unit-which I assume would not be able to handle all criteria under a Full SAR.
