    Default Relevant filing system

I really fail to understand the Judge who appears to believe Microfiche is not a relevant filing system. In the MOD, before computers became widespread, our stores system was held on microfiche. There were many millions of items, and were easily accessed.

The first fiche was the index, and all you had to do was put it into the reader, scroll down the alphabetical index and find the relevant reference number for all, say, " Ring, sealing, Toroidal". (Any other engineer would know this as an O-ring by the way).

The next step was to take the appropriate group fiche, place in the reader, locate the item, and press the print button.

Is the not exactly what you do in a computer?

You are falling into a trap of believing that any judge and the people presenting the information to him have ever seen a fiche system.

If i end up in court arguing over this issue, ill buy or borrow a fiche system and show the judge whats involved.

    Nik

If you go into car/motorcycle spares shops, libraries, all kinds of places have fiche systems.

Its really daft that the banks are using this argument, i reckon the people who sold the banks their systems would be really mad about it.
