Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have banked with the A&L for nearly 20 yrs now, my mum and dad set me up an account when i was 10 wich was later up graded to a current account etc etc. I allowed my account to get £5 over drawn due to there charges being taken out and have been charged £54+ for this. Now because they are skinning me of there charges every month this puts me over my agreed overdraft, even though they agreed to refund some charges and never did. i have phoned the bank on several occasions but never seem to get anywhere with them. normaly i would have just paid the charges as most of us do but am now at my witts end!
In the past i have had a failed dd for the sake of a few pounds but they can take £54 out to pay for there charges ????? this confuses me.
if they agreed to refund a charge and never did and then through there error charged me £54 AGAIN i feel an injustice. after reading some of you comments on this site, correct me if im wrong but even if my charges are because of some bad management on my behalf i can still claim them back??
Yes, have a good read around this forum and at the FAQ's. If they had not charged you in the first place you may not be in this mess, or if they had given the money back like they said they would.. I would suggest having a good couple of days getting ideas from this site then go for it!
