    Default MBNA "Associated Interest" ??

    Hi

Does anyone know if the "associated interesticon" that MBNA offer when refunding is the same as the 8% the fosicon award?

The amount seems quite small and I just wanted to check before I go after them via the FOS.

    Thanks

You'd better ask them to specify as it could be just 1% knowing MBNAicon.

BTW If it turns out to be 8% that's exactly what the fosicon settles with.

I did try but they just said that's the way they work out interesticon. Maybe someone will come along and have had experience of this. Don't want to waste time with fosicon but it seems odd. Foe example on charges @ £280 they state the "associated interest" is £15.

    Does that seem very low?

    Hi Gamba,

You're in the same boat as quite a few of us at the moment. Take a look at my thread from post 124 onwards:

    http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...partial-7.html

There's a general concensus that the fosicon are having the wool pulled over their eyes somewhat.

see also threads by Tink & Landyalert against MBNAicon (sorry but no link).
