Thanks all, have sent cca today by recorded delivery. Will wait to see if they reply to SAR time up soon. Should I wait for the all the docs to come back before i send letter for PPI claim.
Probably best to wait for all documentation to come back unless you have all your statements to enable you to work out your claim--and the interest on top!
When you've prepared your claim let the forum know so that someone like Pompeyfaith--CAG's own PPI guru--can advise.
Update, received 6yrs statements, nothing about letters sent ie DN or termination letter.so dont know if the acc was terminated. On last statement printout acc balance as of Nov 08 is Nil and a lot of figures have been put in CHRGOFF what is this. Phoned BC and they are still saying she owes money. Will I need to send them another letter for the back statements as she is going for charges and PPI and will need to know how much she is claiming.

If this is in response to a SAR then its Barclays standard just to send 6 years statements despite what you request.
You need to inform them in writing that they have not sent everything requested and DEMAND that they send everything they hold on her otherwise you will either put in a Claim for non-compliance to court and seek costs against them OR complain to the ICO and let them instruct Barclays to send what you have requested. Give them a deadline of not more than 14 days and specifically mention it in the letter. They have had 40 days to collate the info which is more than reasonable.
Charge off is an accounting term and to do with whats shown on the balance sheet and where its shown I believe.
