Hi Vic and welcome to CAGicon.

The trouble is that, where this was all discussed by phone, there is nothing to confirm what was actually said unless you recorded conversations.

You could have paid them the £8,250 and then have them say that was only a payment on a/c and they still require more.

Is this a charge-card where you have to repay the balance in full each month. Or is it a credit card.

Are there any penalty charges on the a/c which you can reclaim.

    Hi Vic,

I asked above, are there any penalty charges on the a/c for late, missed or inadequate payments.

Is this a personal card in your name, or a business card.

Is there any mis-sold PPIicon on this a/c.

I think you should try again making an offer to them....they were completely unreasonable in stating that the 2 day window between 13th and 15th was long enough especially so that you received it on the 17th.....(explain that to them) it just makes me wonder if they deliberately lied. just to get a payment out of you and then chase the rest later on....at least you got it in writing.....And if you do speak to them again RECORD the call.....

PLEASE NOTE - I am not a legal expert, what is stated is my own opinion and from what I have learnt from this forum and my own experiences.

    Hi Vic.

The doc'ts posted may be of little help to you. I understand that you don't have the same protection with a monthly charge card as you do with a credit card.

Have you written to them as suggested by 42man in post #11 above.
