Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Here's the deal. I have asked for the original cca of my loan with Abbey. After a lot of back and forth, they admitted that they don't have it, but have sent their current t&c.
Now I am in the process of claiming the mis-sold PPI on my loan.
Abbey have sent a questionnaire that goes on to ask everything that would have been included during the application stage of the loan (taken out in 2002).
? Where did I work when I took out the loan and policy?
? Did I have any other policy?
? How much did I earn?
? Was I married, single, divorced?
? Do I have any dependents? Did I have any?
? Sign this... Letter of Authority etc
? Sign that...I have been asked to sign in 6 different locations of the questionnaire.
? Which advisor heped me? What was discussed? blah blah blah
They have said they will look into my complaint only and if I complete the questionnaire, sign it and send it back. WTF?
To me it seems like they want to gather the information they don't have.
Filled in similar with my complaint to them, they didnt reply to it once they got it.
Just re read and it PPI your reclaiming no mention of debt, just resend complaint with name and adress you were at at time of loan, they should find it from those details, not your life history.
They have all the relevant information, correct address, correct account numbers etc. I can see the question are a sneaky way to get hold of all the information they had back then. The problem is that they say they will only look at the complaint once I have sent them the questionnaire.
