I recieved a letter from court stating that Halifax had 21 days to reply to the claim i issued, the next day i recieved another letter stating the halifax was defending the claim and had 28 days for this. I noticed that it had been signed by halifax's solicitor, i then worried i wouldn't win , is this normal? What happens after the 28 days are up? Thanks in advance
Yes this is completely normal. Halifax have applied for extra time to enter their defence.
They now have 28 days from the date you filed your claim to submit their defence.
You should then rececive a copy from them and a letter from the court including a aq questionnaire to fill out. However if you don't receive a defence during the 28 days, you have won!!
That is the next stage and you then await a court date, either full hearing or AQ hearing.

No problem at all, and even if they do respond in the next 28 days you will still win, it will just take a bit longer
