If you know how much PPIicon you have paid, just put a claim for it back but don't forget to include the interesticon as well.

If you're not sure, a SARicon to LV will be the way to go for starters.

All credit to the rep for pointing this out to you. an unusual occurrence.

If you are asked to deal with any matter via private message, PLEASE report it.

Thanks for the reply silver, I too was suprised she said this, however it was a heated discussion which she was loosing ( IMO ),

I am not sure how much I have paid, will the SARicon determine / tell me? is that the best way forward for the ppi..SAR first then the claim??

    Cheers

Well the SARicon should bring back your statements showing how much has been paid on th PPI and what the interesticon rate was at the time.
I'm not sure if you can compound the interest (someone else will have to answer that) but if you can it will bump up your repayment considerably

    Keep up the pressure on LV I have just had a settlement on two loans in the region of £7k without the need for the Financial Ombudsmanicon Service they sort of agreed with the claim and probably because they had;;;

1 already been fined by the FSA for mis-selling and

2 did not want the FSA to find out that when an account was put into a debt managementicon Plan they actually did not refund any of the PPI at the point the dmpicon started so actually kept on taking the money.

Nasty LV for doing that and not informing the debtor

    Bank charge successes:
Halifax - Full settlement incl interest.
HSBC - Settlement, goodwill no admission of liability about 75% of claim.
RBS - Settlement, goodwill no admission of liability about 70% of claim.
2 ongoing claims for bank charges with HSBC with more to come. (Supreme Court ruling could have upset these claims) They did
    PPI Successes
PPI 4 settlements on 9 loans. FOS involvement on 7 added on the 8 % Statutory interest another 30% to both.
2 claims settled in full with LV without FOS involvement.
2 claims settled in full with HSBC without FOS involvement

    PPI Claims ongoing with:
Cap one Now with the FOS
Barclays. Paid up today 24/04/10 cheque received for over £4,500 and in the bank.
LTSB still have to decide on this as their SAR production was abysmal. Papers data mixed up documents missing etc

1 Complaint not upheld by FOS they said it was ICO issue. Complaint upheld by ICO. See this..

Please do not PM me for advice as it may be sometime before I can respond.

Keep at them. Do not give way and do not accept all they tell you, they will delay and stall for as long as they can to prevent repaying you your mis-sold PPI.
