Hi 100%,
Just beginning to put some claims together for friends against Woolwich and as with many others the period is longer than 6 yrs, so I will challenge their 'concealment' to penetrate the SOL. The folk I'm trying to assist had a list of charges sent (not statements) but I'm having the devil's own job trying to track down compound interest rates which I can charge.
My Mrs had an account with Woolwich (kept the damn thing in credit and, no, it doesn't run in the family!) for years but I can't even find rates of interest charged on any of their correspondence.
How did you manage?
Bump : also when phrases like "commercial compounded rates of interest" are bandied - and like many others I now justify interest claims by saying that the offending financial body would otherwise benefit from undue/unwarranted profit etc- where can I find a reasonable commercial yardstick to use in the absence of interest rate info?

Hi Slick
yup tis for a personal bank a/c and SAR fee was sent.
Zummit strange happening - I didn't make any entries on this thread, my stuff has been moved here.
Nothing strange - read the 1st para of my last post.
Does the data supplied in response to your SAR give dates for each default charge.
If you don't know what interest rate was actually used, estimate it for the purposes of compiling your SOC. If it was an unauthorised O/D, 25.9% to 28.9% would be close.
Let them argue the toss when you come to negotiate your settlement.
