I am in the middle of claiming back my PPI payments as i was told that i must take the insurance.
Someone called T2upNorth has been helping me dramitically all the way through the process but he is extremely busy and he hasnt been around for a while.
Welcome finance have sent me a letter back with a questionairre and T2 ssaid before i fill it in i was to post to photobucket so he could see it.
They want the letter back within the week and i am a little concerned that T2upNorth may not be available.
Is there anyone who can point me in the right direction ?

You should read all of the stickies at the top of this forum. Ignore mostly what the banks tell you I you have sent a Subject access request with the statutory fee of £10 then that is fine. The banks can ask for more information but IMO the questionnaires are loaded in their favour to try and trip you up on your way to reclaiming so. Send SAR get the data. Send PPI reclaiming letter and keep to the timescales SAR 40 calendar days to get all you pay for PPI 8 weeks failure to keep these dealines then off to the fos which costs the bank a £500 fee for the adjudicator and the FOS are upholding 90% of claims in favour of the consumer.
Be nice when you tell the banks you have supplied all the information therefore if you are required to complete another questionnaire you will require payment for the time you spend completing it.
The banks are taking the micky now on PPI reclaims they know the cat is out of the bag and they are now playing for time. Delays, questionnaires, searches for data, we need to gather information from several sources,
Time to stand up and say enough is enough give me my money back.

Bank charge successes:
Halifax - Full settlement incl interest.
HSBC - Settlement, goodwill no admission of liability about 75% of claim.
RBS - Settlement, goodwill no admission of liability about 70% of claim.
2 ongoing claims for bank charges with HSBC with more to come. (Supreme Court ruling could have upset these claims) They did
PPI Successes
PPI 4 settlements on 9 loans. FOS involvement on 7 added on the 8 % Statutory interest another 30% to both.
2 claims settled in full with LV without FOS involvement.
2 claims settled in full with HSBC without FOS involvement
PPI Claims ongoing with:
Cap one Now with the FOS
Barclays. Paid up today 24/04/10 cheque received for over £4,500 and in the bank.
LTSB still have to decide on this as their SAR production was abysmal. Papers data mixed up documents missing etc
Please do not PM me for advice as it may be sometime before I can respond.
Keep at them. Do not give way and do not accept all they tell you, they will delay and stall for as long as they can to prevent repaying you your mis-sold PPI.
Re: Claiming back PPI charges with Welcome Finance
Hi,
Thanks for the info. I have already sent and received the SAR, all the info is posted to the same photobucket account posted above. T2UpNorth did say that they will send a questionairre to fill in but he wanted to see it before i completed and returned, trouble is that he is extremley busy and he hasnt been on for a while.
I think i am just going to have to complete the form and avoid being tripped up.

I agree on the issue of questionnaires a lot of them have leading questions to try and catch you out with the answers you provide actually helping them to fend of the potential PPI mis-selling claim. Just be on your guard the questions are in a lot of cases allegedly quite misleading with the aim of them using them against you either with a claim via the Financial Ombudsman Service or through the Courts. I would be very wary of banks asking for more information.

Re: Claiming back PPI charges with Welcome Finance
I have completed one of these PPI questionaires about 2 weeks ago for the wife. We had the final response today with the offer of just over £2000. The form is fairly standard as is the letter you received(exactly the same as us). Complete the form and return it, you also have more than a week. You have upto 8 weeks. I sat on the form for 7 weeks and then sent it. They will usually send a letter back advising they have received the form and are looking into it. If they follow the usual practice, you'll get a letter back advising they don't agree but are willing to offer a goodwill gesture.
It just so happens we don't have any liability with them and should get the full refund. If you need any futher help with this let me know.
Re: Claiming back PPI charges with Welcome Finance
Thanks for the reply, no i didnt see that thread. I received this questionaire after send the letter of complaint about the PPI charges, if i am not completing the form, what do i do now ?
Do i reply saying that i am not going complete the form ?
Re: Claiming back PPI charges with Welcome Finance
You could just tell them to refer to all the notes they should have made at the point of sale and check all the data they hold on you in their files.
I also believe it is a way to try and trip you up. They are allowed to ask for further information but I do not believe you have to supply everything they ask for as the majority of information should have been noted and kept on your data file when the loan was agreed by them.
I would just refer them back to your letter of complaint about mis-selling and let them do the donkey work to prove they did not mis-sell the PPI.
