Hi all have discovered totaly by accident today that Mercers are not on list of licenced DCA registered with the OFT so I would think they cant get away with harasment calls I have had my case refered to knowsley trading standards and have been advised to speak to the information Commisioners of ASAP about this company and Barclaycards misuse of data.
Re: intresting fact about mercers miss use of data
Mercers are actually a dormant company according to Companies House.
However, as they are a part of the Barclays group (as are Barclaycard) I'm not sure you'll get very far with any complaint about BC using them for collection activity.
