    Default Natwest idiots..right or wrong?

I have a Charging Order courtesy of Natwesticon made in 2007

Obviously I had a CCJ, for around £9000, that led to this (2003).

To cut a story short, Natwest are telling me that I have to negotiate with Regal Credit to make a payment plan with them to settle the debt sooner.

Natwest are named on the CCJ/CO and the court ruled on the amount to be paid each month. Am I right in thinking that any variation they want has to be done via the courts and I'm within my rights to stick to the court order? I'm sure I am and it's just a case of them trying to bully me into complying but self-doubt creeps in..

I'm sure you're right. They can't arbitrarily change what the court has ordered.

When the Liberals and Conservatives were in opposition they both agreed that banks should pay back high bank charges to customers. Nothing seems to of happened since they came into power as a coalition. PPI insurance has been sorted now they should turn their attention to bank charges and help customers get exorbitant charges refunded.

    Thanks Caro,

I didn't think they could. They are grasping at straws and running out of options.

It might just be checking exactly what the order says in case there's a clause in it somewhere but it's a long shot IMHO.

There are no clauses. They have said they won't take direct payments and I have to wait for Regal Credit to get back in touch and then negotiate a payment scheme. Strange as they have said that I could have made direct payments after their solicitor stopped taking the debits they had insisted upon to prevent further court action.

I've offered to pay but they are refusing the payments so how can I be expected to abide by the charging order and judgement?
