Hi there, has anyone had any success in reclaiming PPI from Welcome Finance, I today received an offer and now returned the acceptance form. Any experiences of having gone through this and how quick they refund after receiving our Acceptance form??
Hi, one offer was for £1888 and the other is for £1696 (I put in for two claims).
I telephoned them today to ask what their timescale is from recieving an acceptance form to us recieving they funds, they say there is a backlog of one month so most probably in 4 weeks time.
Fingers crossed
I claimed it through Ismart and if didnt go to fos as welcome replied with their offer just in time.
Yeh we are happy that they are willing to offer at least this, in there letter they say they do not agreed with our assertions but as a goodwill gesture decided to pay the full PPI.
The amount of 1888 they have offered is was supposed to be 3026.56 plus associated interested of 285.85 and also included is 8% statutory interested which equates to £139.83, but a partial insurance rebate of £1564.56 was applied to this loan account on 31st March 2009, when the ppi policy was cancelled, we have deducted this amount from the total refund noted about.
Again its the same for the £1694.97.
To be honest I thought since July and dont really want to keep going they have offered this and we feel its better than nothing
Hi essexboy, Ismart is a company who claim on my behalf to get my funds. It was just about to go to fos as welcomes time to reply was almost up but the same day i received the forms to sign to sent to FOS welcomes letter arrived also.
What is the update on welcome are they going to go under??? Ive still got a secured loan with them and I couldnt believe their cheek last month they came to MY DOOR to ask if i was making the monthly payment, desperate or what. lol
They also did it the month before by telephoning me the week before the monthly payment was due.
They are just the worst ever. Wish I could get away from them but aint so easy is it!

What you think?
Grasp it with both hands then.
If my post helped you feel better, click my scales.
In my opinion having gone through a third party and then getting a goodwill offer. (you have posted no details on amounts etc) I would suggest you could well have been short changed on what you may have claimed back via the fos and or Court.
However at the end of the day if you are satisfied with the result then of course that is your decision. Enjoy the moment if you are happy with the outcome.

Keep at them. Do not give way and do not accept all they tell you, they will delay and stall for as long as they can to prevent repaying you your mis-sold PPI.
