    Default woolwich merge

    hi, im trying to get a friends account back from the woolwich, now a few years ago Barclaysicon merged with woolwich, and cant find a certain account with woolwich, it has gone dormant, where can i go from here, my friend has still got the woolwich savings book but hasnt touched it since 03, barclays have all the details from the saving book but canot trace the owner they say the account has gone dormant. thanks anyone who can help most appreciated.

    Hi Steve and sorry about the delay in replying.

    You should take a copy of the passbook showing it's a/c no. and send this to Barclaysicon asking them to trace the a/c details.

    It may help if you confirm the address(es) of the a/c holder throughout the period the a/c was open. Also confirm the DoB.
