  • 1 month later...

the council / regeneration company has blown their budget but have only built a handful of new houses. the options that were available are no longer available and we are left in derelicted areas with little option but to accept crap houses or stay and suffer.anti social behaviour and all that comes with it,,, fires etc... It could take years for the market to pick up again and even longer before companies happy to start building again...it is a living nightmare? I want to take them to court for the blight all the residents are suffering????

You still need to put more information.

"They have blown their budget" - how? are you saying they got enough money to build 100 houses but have only built 50 for example. What evidence do you have to back up this claim? Remember to request details and copies of documents on this under the Freedom of Information Act.

"The options" - what options were you given? Were you all promised a move, etc? What reasons have been given for the failure to keep any promises made? Are you on an estate/block where everyone is supposed to be moved out and the properties bulldozed, etc?

What type of housing are you in? Apart from ASB what else makes these houses crap? What (if any) other action has been taken by the Council or landlord (if different) to rectify the problems?
