Default Can I still send a DPA etc. for a recently closed account.

    Hi,
I have unfortunately had to progress an IVA which has been accepted.

Abbeyicon immediately closed my current account, (which gives me another problem about where I can get my salary paid into and bills paid etc.), but in the last 4 months or so when I have been really struggling I have paid lots of charges, about £1000 worth, £400 in one month due to either non payment of DD's or payment when overdrawn.

Can I still ask send the DPA letter and put in a claim?

I've been with Abbey over 20 years and to say I'm upset is an understatement.

Have a read of the FAQ's - this question - and many more you didn't know you had yet - are answered in there.

It is in your best interests to read as much as possible, as you may well end up in court if you follow the example of some people on this site, and most likely be representing yourself - it would be advisable to be as 'legally armed' as much as possible.
