I sent off my data info letter and have just received a letter back from the halifax saying a complete list of statements are ordered and will be delivered shortly. Also in the letter the lady also stated "With regard to your request for information relating to manual intervention on your account, HBOS plc is under no statuary obligation to record this information and therefore, i am unable assist further with your request".
Can anyone please tell me if this is admitting there has been no manual intervention? they cannot prove any manual intervention? or do i need to push harder to get it in writing stating there has been no manual intervention (PHEW!!) lol. If anybody has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

They are claiming that they can't prove manual intervention (more because it didn't occur than the reason they provide). It just weakens their case that they use to justify the high charges. They really ought to stop the pretence as we know and they know it didn't occur!
