Is the Barclaycard Preapplication Checker tool a breach of the DPA.
I was horrified to see that you could do a preapplication check by entering very basic details about yourself to find out if you were likely to be accepted for credit.
Essentially it does a search of your credit but only leaves a small foot print. How open to abuse is this.
I have already contacted the ICO. This is disgusting.
