    Default Remove Defaults

    Hi All
I am new to this site and have never really looked at sorting out my debts, i feel I have been in debt for as long as I can remember but i feel the end is in sight.
I had 4 defaults on my account untill last week when one of these were removed as it had reached th 6 year mark it was my largest at £3.4k, The problem with this according to what I hve read in the forums is that I have admitted to it from a DCAicon as last year the recorded a ccj aginst me for the debt which i paid and the CCJ was removed from my credit file? So I was wondering if this could come back to haunt me.

This leaves 3 defaults on my account 2 of these have been paid and say satisfied

    Barclaysicon Bank (woolwich) £209 01/12/2004
    HFO services £833 30/11/2006

With the Barclays bank debt I do not ever remember recieving a default, I had no overdrafticon and it was all made up of charges. so I want to get this removed and was going to go down the CCA route.

As for the HFO services, I was wondering if anyone has had any dealings with them as the debt has been paid off would it be a good idea to call them kindly asking them to remove it or go down the CCA route.

My last debt if with hillesden Securities (Yes Car Credit/DCA) but I will put this in another thread.

If it is paid on been on for 6 yearsicon then removed it cant go back on, its 6 years then thats it, gone.

With Barclaysicon there will be no CCA as your agreement/contract is you agreeing to the T&C's of the account. There will be no default notice for a current account either. Best thing you can do is put the account in dispute and ask they return the charges. Loads of templates on here to help you.

The account will then remain in dispute until the outcome of the OFT test case, which if they rule in our favour you will get back your charges and the default notice should be removed if it was soley charges that caused it.

    Good Luck
