Hi All
I am new to this site and have never really looked at sorting out my debts, i feel I have been in debt for as long as I can remember but i feel the end is in sight.
I had 4 defaults on my account untill last week when one of these were removed as it had reached th 6 year mark it was my largest at £3.4k, The problem with this according to what I hve read in the forums is that I have admitted to it from a DCAas last year the recorded a ccj aginst me for the debt which i paid and the CCJ was removed from my credit file? So I was wondering if this could come back to haunt me.
This leaves 3 defaults on my account 2 of these have been paid and say satisfied
BarclaysBank (woolwich) £209 01/12/2004
HFO services £833 30/11/2006
With the Barclays bank debt I do not ever remember recieving a default, I had no overdraftand it was all made up of charges. so I want to get this removed and was going to go down the CCA route.
As for the HFO services, I was wondering if anyone has had any dealings with them as the debt has been paid off would it be a good idea to call them kindly asking them to remove it or go down the CCA route.
My last debt if with hillesden Securities (Yes Car Credit/DCA) but I will put this in another thread.
