Sent SAR to Barclaycard and received the standard microfische letter. I have no charges for the statement received(may 04 to now) as the card had long gone.
I can't estimate and it looks like the microfische argument is water tight:
Should I pay the £3 per statement this will be approx £100
3 Questions
Has anyone got microfishe statements without paying the £3 per statement?
AND
If I pay for the statements what are the chances of me getting the costs back
AND
Do Barclaycard tend to pay up or go to court?
I had the same fob off re microfiche and a £3 charge per statement. They have been charging that for some time because I had to order and pay for them during my divorce settlement of 2003.
As for the pay up, they seem to offer a standard 40/50% settlement. I am waiting to send my lba as I havent heard from them since I sent my prelim letter on the 18th.
Let us know how you're getting on.

you shouldnt have had to pay that amount, if you sent the SAR request from the library on this site, you can claim that money back though as it is a reasonable cost that you incurred in trying to find out how much they had charged you, if you add it into your costs on mcol you will be fine.
