Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hi, I made a claim to Lloyds for mis-sold loan PPI, they have offered me a settlement, which I am happy to accept, my problem is they want my bank account details, I owe Lloyds money for a credit card debt which I am paying through the cccs, I cancelled all my dd's with Lloyds and opened an account with a different bank as they were taking money to pay for my credit card.
Would it be foolish to give my new bank account details to accept payment??
There is no mention of being paid by cheque.

Banks are able to offset refunds on accounts against other accounts that are in arrears. There is some contention as to whether mis-sold PPI can indeed be used to offset arrears on the capital of the loan. I am sure only the fos can make a final ruling on this issue. As you have not been made an offer of repayment by cheque. I would be careful on the way forward

Keep at them. Do not give way and do not accept all they tell you, they will delay and stall for as long as they can to prevent repaying you your mis-sold PPI.
