    Default Barclaycard "changes" Leaflet

Has anyone else had a CHANGES leaflet from Barclaycard about changes to their terms and conditionsicon? It seems to be putting the onus on customers to opt out of various charges and clauses which they may bring in in the future. They say they will give notice of any new charges but it is down to us to opt out. Reminds me of the "reserve fee" fiasco on Barclaysicon Current Accounts. Also they are saying that charges can include their funding costs. Well we all know how much those bonuses and Cayman Island expenses can be -what exactly constitutes "funding"? I'm going to cancel my Barclaycard - had enough of them.

It may be that Barclaysicon are trying to mitigate their projected losses when the OFT case is finally resolved...... Running scared?

Well if enough people vote with their feet, they might eventually get the message.

I think I received something similar from Halifaxicon but haven't read it properly yet..... will hopefully be able to pay that and my B'card off from my PPIicon reclaims though.

But then, is there such a thing as a better credit card - they all seem as bad as each other and I need one as I shop online.

These days I tend to use a debit card - its cheaper and I don't rack up more debt.

Debit cards are sensible to use for general shopping but I like the extra protection you get from using credit cards on-line - especially nowadays with lots of companies going into liquidation etc.
