Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Had a very quick response to Prelim (3 days) offering me £38 against a claim for £784 which I declined. Issued lba but no response within the 14 days so about to file a claim.
Is MoneyClaim as good as any or would you recommend a visit to the courts with the hard copy stuff.
It seems that MCOL is faster and you can check the progress online without having to phone the courts or visit. However if you are receipt of certan benefits or are on a low income you may be able to get your fees paid, in this case you have ti file in person.
Agreed but a lot depends how busy your local court is.
There is of course the benefit of more interest if the case takes longer !!
Depends also if you want to address other issues such as defaults etc......MC is as it says just for the claiming of money.
You still get paper correspondence using MC but the benefits of being kept up to date are obvious.
