Default Lloyds Bank Charges!! £165 for 11 days.

I went overdrawn on my current account without knowing as a payment had been delayed on my debit card, and i thought it had already been processed.

I didnt know this had happened until i recieved a letter from Lloydsicon TSB stating that i had gone overdrawn and they were debiting £165 in charges and 50p for interesticon.

I spoke to the call centre and said i will pay back the £49.20 which i was overdrawn and the 50p interest but i will not pay £165 in charges for 11 days. They said that they do not agree this so i said i'm not paying anything then. As they have now debited the first lot of charges the charge has increased from £15 a day to £20 a day. I think it is completely discusting that they can do this.

What do i do because if i send the letter they do not have to deal with it due the fosicon waiver but can still chase me for payment.

    Any Help Would Be Great

You can get all the money back that you will have to start claiming it in the usual way. Don't bother to go to the Ombudsmanicon. It takes too long. Is not transparent. Lloyds prefers you to go to the ombudsman so go to the courts. All the banks hate the courts.

If you have any other charges owing you then calculate the lot and entered onto our spreadsheet. If there are charges that you can't remember about then send a SARicon. Get all information, entered onto the spreadsheet and then send Lloyds seven days only letter before actionicon. They will ignore it will fob you off. Then sue them in the county courticon. If you are not prepared to take this action then don't bother to make threats. You will notice that in our particulars of claim templates we include a claim for restitutionary damagesicon which means that you are asking the court to order that the bank pays over to you all the profits that they have made on the unlawful charges which they have taken from you.

Don't hang around, get started now

    Hi

I to got a bill from Lloydsicon saying they are going to charge me £169.85 for being overdrawn by £6.

They are saying that the charges are going to come out on the 1st Oct

is there anything I can do?, especially with the test cases being on hold - no way I can afford £169 at the minute.

    Cheers.
