Loan Company will not supply original loan document
My hubby rang Lloyds to try to get a copy of his original loan agreement as we have misplaced ours. They told him that he wasn't entitled to that information, but that they would send out "loan statements" which just show how much they loan was originally for, how long, apr, and monthly payments.
We are in the middle of claiming back charges from Nationwide (nearly concluded), and Lloyds will be next. I've been following Janeyb's thread whereby she managed to get her loan amounts refunded as well as her charges. We were in the same sort of situation and got 2 loans through Lloyds within 1 year of each other. I'm looking to include the original loan agreements with the N1 form when I take in into the court. I'm just waiting to get these before I apply it to court.
I've just been looking through the thread entitled "Loan company cannot supply original agreement", and i noticed Alanfromderby mention that there is a draf template letter in another thread re sending off a CCA request.
I have looked and looked but I just cannot find it. I am no good with legal/technical jargon, so I hope someone can point me in the right direction. As I'm sure this is what I need to do now.

Thanks for that. I wasn't too sure of the exact wording of the clauses of the CCA.
I'll get that sent off first thing tomorrow

Re: Loan Company will not supply original loan document
Just out of interest, does anyone know why it's only £1 for the info when it's a CCA request but £10 for the info with a DPA request?
What does the CCA request cover? Obviously loans, but what else? Credit Cards? Store finance? (eg, PC World/B&Q/etc)
EDIT: Also, as there are 2 loans, do I need to send 2 letters with 2 seperate £1 fees? Or just 1 letter with 2 fees, or 1 letter with 1 fee?

Does anyone know if I should send £1 for each loan? in 2 seperate letters, or 1 letter?

Re: Loan Company will not supply original loan document
I remember buying 10 JPS for about 40p. Well, trying to. Victoria Wines wouldn't serve me as I was only fourteen!
Barclays - settled and about to claim charges since then!
Morgan Stanley - defaulted on CCA request - ball is in their court
Birmingham Midshires - starting claim 1st March £3000+
MBNA - Settled in full
Amex - CCJ issued against Amex and full refund taken by Bailiffs - cheque received eventually!
Marbles - Full settlement
Capital One - Received full amount plus costs
Re: Loan Company will not supply original loan document
Hi Can someone help me. I have a loan with Lloyds which is still current and one that is repaid. I initiall began chasing LLoyds re PPI's as they have repeatedlyrefused to comply with my claims when I have been unemployed or on SSP. I am now in process of pursuing a claim of mis-selling the PPi's for each loan. I contacted LLoyds and asked for a copy of both loan agreements. I was informed by their department at Peterlees that they did not have copies and that their were held at the branch. I visited the branch and informed them that I had been informed that they had the documents. They told me that they would have to look in the safe and would contact me to tell me when to collect the copies. Two hours later I had a phone call from the manager at the branch. She informed me that they did not have any copies of my loan agreements and that I was to write outline my complaints and issues re the PPI's. She would then ask Peterlees for copies which she knew they didhave as it had already been confirmed by one of her customer service clerks. This apparentlhy would solidify my compaint and work in my favour.!!!!!!. However, having read the above threads I am wondering where I now stand re their inability to find any copies at all. Could someone please give me advise on how to proceed from here. Many thanks.
