Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have been on this site for a few weeks and started off by sending DPA letter to the Halifax, they sent an automatic response stating that I would receive the information, but it never arrived. I then sent in the DPA reminder and that was due up today, again I have received nothing. What's my next step - do I do a guesstimate and ask for loads of money like 2 charges per month for 4 years and go straight to the court or what, so much information on this site - is wonderful but mind blowing
Thanks
Michelle

Halifax - DPA letter sent 16/06/06 Abbey - Still to start
I probably have a few more when I look in to it too
Hi Michelle, You have a couple of choices of what to do either you can write to the Information Commissioner or if you have sent the non compliance letter threatening court action, take out a court action making them comply. You could resend the DPA non compliance letter and see if they respond to that. The choice is yours
You need to read a few threads in the Haifax forum to gain some insight as to what to do, and can you please start your own in there where we can keep an eye on your progress
