Thread: Broken Promise Fee

Has anyone ever been charged a broken promise fee on an Oasis store card (Ikano). Basically my payment was late so I told them that I could pay by a certain date, unfortunetly missed the date but have been charged a "broken promise fee" of £12.00 and an arrears fee of £12.00.

I understand the arrears fee but surely the broken promise fee is just a way to maximise the arrears fee without over charging? Is this a legitimate fee?
