Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have sent my preliminary approach for repayment to A&L and have since received a letter to say that the OFT were infact commenting on credit cards and not bank charges. I know this is BS and is a delaying tactic, however what i need to know is do i now send my lba as per the timescale?
Welcome
yes, send the lba. Have you opened a parachute account? Have a good read around the others forums and FAQ it really helps. You will normally find questions to your answers but if you just ask someone normally replies. Everyone is really helpfull on here!!
Do you know how much your claiming? In the LBA don't add the 8% yet. You will probubly get pretty much the same reply as the first but stick to your time scales.
GOOD LUCK!

Well its 14 Days since my initial letter was sent (The 1st letter was ignored so i sent another copy via recorded post - i thought i would give them the benefit of the doubt) so im off to the post office later today with my lba. Again this letter will be by recorded post, no way are they going to ignore me now and i will just stick to the timescales suggested.
Edit: - I do have another account that i have been using so im happy for A & L to close my account, providing of course they hand back my money.
