Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have just received a copy of my Experian credit report and noticed that there are three separate entries that, relate to one credit agreement.
The entries make it appear that I entered into three separate credit agreements, when in fact there was only one.
The creditor in question changed the cc card three times;
the first entry states the start time in 2001 and then states settled in 2004.
(the creditor moved the balance onto the new card)
the second entry states the start time as 2001 and then states settled in 2005. (again the creditor moved the balance on to the new card)
the third entry states the start time as 2001 and then states defaulted in 2006;
the last entry was removed from the credit file recently when the creditor allegedly sold the account to a DCA.
However, the information that relates to the third entry has reappeared and is being processed by the DCA. I wont go into that matter as it would make my post to long!
My question;
surely, it cannot be correct to have three separate entries on a CRA credit file, that all relate to the same alleged debt/agreement?
The information makes it appear to anyone viewing my credit file, that I have obtained/entered into 3 credit agreements, when in fact there was only one.
