can anyone help me please, my daughter had car insurence paying monthly with Thame valley, she got behind with payments and they cancelled the policy, they now want over a £1000 and they are sendind someone to collect money 2 moro... any advice plaese

check the policy wording in regards to "if you are paying by direct debit and miss a payment" as alot of companies will chase for more money than they are entitled to.

 

the company i work for is one culprit (now owned by 70% of the gov) their wording states if you miss a payment we will cancel the policy back to the day of payment date,however they will leave the policy running,try taking the payment again,send various letters etc all of which takes another 5-6weeks for which they will charge the time on cover until they eventually cancel the policy,despite their own policy wording.
