Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Wickes have energy saving bulbs on sale at 5 for 59p. The make is Philips, so well known and not some obscure unknown make.
I know lots of places have had them on offer, but I have never seen them as low as this, just to repeat, five for 59p. We bought 10, 5 of each wattage.

Re: Free light bulbs (well almost).
Tescos had a similar offer last year.
(They actually messed up with the pricing and were actually paying people to take the bulbs away. Naturally I now have a loft full of the things.... The worst bit is that the damn things seem to last forever, so it seems Im stuck with them.)
Well, if you qualify, you CAN get them free - bayonet fit only, no screw thread. Philips bulbs, so a decent quality too.
You'll need to be either:
70 years old or more
OR
Receiving certain benefits, tax credits or allowances. There's more info on the web site Free-Light-Bulbs
And if you qualify for those, you should also qualify for free home insulation, though I hear those who are eligible for the free insulation may be at the end of the queue as those able to pay towards it are getting it first in line. It only costs a little even then though and it might well save you the same amount in heating bills in the first year.
I'll have forgotten where I am in my book by then.

I see these offers in shops all the time, 5 for 50p and suchlike.
Sadly i cannot take advantage of the offer because about a year ago i got the Philips ones (All different types) from Argos and bought enough to last me a lifetime. 100 lightbulbs infact. I worked out what i needed more of first though. But have since given a few away anyway.
Update on this.
Seems that the BC fittings are pretty much available all over the place at 10p each from B&M and others likeminded.
I have not seen ES (Screw fittings available anywhere tho at good prices)
I bought some bulhead light fittings on car bootsale last week-these are little outside mains lights with sort of cage over front of glass.
I thought they were BC but noticed when home they were Es screw bulbs.
I looked in Wilkinsons-now heres catch-the large energy ones only cost 49p Teco do good deals too.
But the ones I wanted are smaller in length.
Tesco want almost 3 quid a piece.
Wilkos are £1.96.
Anyway I was looking in Poundland after seeing their after 8 mints advertised for a quid a box.
Guess what ?
I saw the low energy lamps there for £1 for 2x5 packs both in Bayonet AND ES fittings.
My eyes lit up as bright as the town hall Christmas tree
So I got a couple of each.
So the deals are out there at 10p a bulb.
I think a step in right direction tho have yet to find any cheap ses (these are the small screw in lamps that China forced on us in most lamps after 2001).....Like a few I have some brass picture lights at home that take small pygamy bulbs (like fridge and sewing machine lamps) I cant see them introducing these low energy lamps so small for them so will have to stock up on the traditional ones before they phase them out.
They will be expecting us to change all our light fittings to accomodate these energy saving bulbs-but I will resist changing my solid brass ones for Chinese copies which will fade at the first touch of pledge or Mr.Sheen.
Now back to the after 8s yes I did get those too-at a quid a box they are a good deal but I could not help notice that they are smaller than the ones we see in the supermarkets.
Ha Ha......well I guess that means keeping them hidden when you invite peeps for Christmas or else get 2 boxes which still work out cheaper than 1 bigger box from Tesco.
Ps-dont tell my neigbours I told you
