Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hi, i am new to this, so bear with me. i had a comet account and a Abbeyoverdraft quite a few years back, which went to a collections agency. i am now paying back through a debt management plan. can i still claim charges back on these, and if so, how??? many thanks
You would need to send a SAR to the original creditors to get copies of statements etc., this will cost £10 each. From the information you get back you can determine which unfair charges you can reclaim (any charge over £12) then you create a spreadsheet detailing the charges then add 8% interest which you are entitled to. http://www.consumerforums.com/resour...est-debt-a-dca
