Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Story so far...following a CCA request Barclay card has produced nothing but a couple of pages of T&cs from a few years ago.
Despite asking them repeatedly for the "agreement" all they send is a two-page letter from various members of staff (but always the same letter) and it states why they believe this constitutes an agreement.
So I write back and tell them why it doesn't constitute an agreement and add case law and precedents in order to try and educate them but all I still get is "the letter" again and again.
So now what to do? Perhaps a SAR is an idea? Perhaps a complaint to the fos. Just mulling it over for now.
