    Default credit card ppi

I am looking for a bit of advice on what action to donext...story so far.

Put in a claim for missold PPIicon against Natwesticon credit cards .My argument is that i wasnt told that previous medical conditions were not covered.
I sent of my first complaint letter stating my concerns and the amount of money i am claiming for.
I appied for the cc on the internet and when it arrived i rang the number printed on the card to activate it,its at this point i was sold the ppi and at no point was i told of any exclusions.
I have recieved my reply from RBSicon rejecting my claim on the grounds that i ticked the ppi box on my internet application and also they say that the policy was sold as a non advised sale whatever that means.
I know i didnt tick the ppi box because why would theysell me the ppi on the phone if i had already agreed to it.

I am at a bit of a loss as what my next course of action should be .

The term non advise sale keeps cropping up throughout the rejection letter.
Why would the box for ppi have a tick next to it if i hadnt ticked it...can this box be ticked by the telephone advisor when i agreed to the ppi?
    hope somebody can help

Get all of the relevant documents by submiting an SARicon. When you have everything you can construct your case.

    Hiya Bulldog,

You may have many reasons for a mis-sell so first stop is the stickys at the top of this thread.

Some reason for mis-selling are below

1 You were not in work or self employed at the time of sale

2 You were told that you had to take the PPIicon out at the same time as the loan or not at all

3 You were not asked whether you had any other insurance which would cover the loan

4 You were not told you could buy PPI elsewhere to cover the loan

5 You were sold a policy which had age restrictions which you fell outside of

6 You were led to believe that Payment Protection Insurance was compulsory

7 You were told that you would stand more chance of getting the loan if you took the Payment Protection Insurance

8 It was not explained to you that there were certain exclusions within the policy that could affect you

9 You were pressured into buying the PPI

10 You paid upfront for the PPI but it was not explained that there were some PPI policies where you could pay monthly

11 Your PPI was an upfront premium and you repaid the loan early and received no refund

12 You increased your loan and the PPI was increased automatically

13 The Terms & Conditions of the small print were not fully explained to you

But there may be others as i say read the info at the top and arm before you fire the gun !!!!!!!

    Regards

    PF
