I am currently cutting short my holiday and returning home as my neighbour has discovered we have been burgled (TV, Laptop, X Box). My neighbour alerted the police and I have passed the crime number to Direct Line. I have checked the Direct Line website and it suggests I won't be insured as I do not have key activated window locks. Historically, I have always ticked the "no" box when asked if I had these, however DL proposal never asked the question and it's not listed under assumptions. Am I likely to be denied a pay out? If so would I stand a hope with the FOS if it came to it?

Burglar attempted to break in thro back door, but failed and in the end smashed bathroom main window and gained access this way. Took front door key and left via front door. DL sent locksmith round and fitted new door lock, and boarded up window. Pls advise. Regards Dodjah:(
