Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I had sent my request for repayment of charges to the Bank of Scotland. Giving them 14 days to pay. They have responded with a letter saying they will investigate and receive a reply no later than 4 weeks.
My question is, do i allow them the 4 weeks or do i stick to my original 14 day response time before the next step?
Deb, take the next steps , they are now taking control of the matter turn it around send another letter telling them you intend to take them to court if you dont recieve a refund in the time "YOU" give not on thier terms . i sent a letter last friday giving them 14days to refund if they didnt i am taking it to my county court;-)
Hi craigamc,
I did stick to my timetable as advised and Bank of Scotland paid in full not long after I had filed my Moneyclaim Online - I'm working on the credit cards now!
Good luck with all of yours.
Deb.
