Special Delivery, postal orders and tamper proof signatures?
I am about to send CCA requests off to Egg and two other lenders. Do I need to send them via Special Delivery or will Recorded Delivery sufice?
Also do I need to write anything on the £1 postal orders?
In order to prevent delaying tactics I have created a tamper proof digital signature as recommended by this site. However on inspection, its not too difficult to run that through photoshop and remove the CAG watermark lettering? Therefore I have scanned in a signature which is NOT my normal signature. Are there any issues with this or should I simply provide my normal signature with the tamper proof tool?
Re: Special Delivery, postal orders and tamper proof signatures?
Evening.
Recorded (signed for) delivery is ok. Should cost approx £1.14.
You will get proof of postage (a receipt) and can use track and trace for proof of delivery.
Postal orders should be made payable to the company receiving it and should also be crossed.
You will also get a receipt for the postal order. A £1 postal order will cost £1.50 (i think).
I didn't sign my CCA requests anyway, but an anti tamper digital signature should be more than sufficient.

Re: Special Delivery, postal orders and tamper proof signatures?
Many thanks GhostDebt. Is there any harm in just giving them a blank postal order? I still have time to write the organisation on the fronts as I will be taking them to the Post Office tomorrow.
Re: Special Delivery, postal orders and tamper proof signatures?
Hello Imd75.
A blank postal order could be cashed by anybody.
Better to get the post office to print it.
I would make it payable to the name that they ask cheque payments to be made to.
Regards.
