Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Everything started with closing my online banking. So I was in my branch and they tell me that they didnt know whats going on. A few days I got a letter from Barclays bank and information about my closing account, without reason. So i was in my bank again and wanted my money back, but it wasnt possible. Second letter was my exact balance and my money was taken by barclays bank like Fund removed (debt Mgmt), Nobody from barclays didnt know what is it and why they took it, but they dont want to help me.
If you know about similar problems or what to do, give me an advise. Thanks

Do you have any debts with Barclays at all? Credit card / loan etc... sounds like they are using something called the right to offset rule which means they can rob peter to pay paul namely one account pays off another...
I'm afraid if this is what they have done then its legal.. not too sure on the closing the account down tho as that would seem to not be giving you the relevant timescales (I think these are laid out in the Banking Code)

Edit: I may have mis understood the original posting... have they closed just the online access to the account or has the account been closed down properly (demanded cards/cheque book back etc)?????
