Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I had a Personal Loan with Barclays, a VISA from Barclaycard and a personal bank account which I stopped using in March 2000 after I split with an ex-partner who caused me no end of grief with finances
In addition, I probably was charged loads of charges etc on all 3 accounts with Barclays.
Whats my first step to try and recover the charges.
I had an IVA which ended in January 2004 with a settlement, from reading posts in the forum, I believe this does not matter now.
The first step you should take is to take some time reading through the questions and replies on this Barclays thread. No doubt, some of the questions that you have will be answered on here.
Secondly, read through the FAQ section on the main page. This has been written, and continues to be updated, by the site's Moderators and others who hav gone through the process already.
When you feel confident to start taking action, keep your thread updated, andlet everyone know how your doing.
This site isa great source of information and support !!
