Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have been consistently getting charges on my Halifax account each month, twice a month for the past five years. These charges are £28.00 and £30.00 a time, i don't believe these charges are justifiable as it is supposed to be an interst free overdraft which i set up and paid £100 to do so. I never knew anything could be done about it until recently when I saw the information on the t.v, i am now unemployed due to pregnancy and cannot afford these charges.
Re: HALIFAX EXTRA - extra what? apart from charges
Hi kittyu2
Welcome to the CAG/BAG forums and dont worry if you follow the info on here you will get it back and the charges are UNLAWFUL !!
Start by reading the FAQ's and the step by step on the main page of the forums and then read as much as you can over a couple of days and when your ready start your own thread in the Halifax bank forums and you will find loads of other users that have been though or have just started the process.
It maybe worth starting another account with a differant bank as it is possible the Halifax may close your account down if you try and get your charges back a good one is the Natwest step account and very easy to get even if you are not working.
Good luck and dont rush this
