Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
i sent an email to wescot to query a default which theyve just registered on my credit file and i got this back
I refer to your e-mail received on 10 June 2009 regarding the above matter.
Your comments have been noted regarding your credit file and I can advise that to enable us to register a debt with the credit reference agencies certain information is required relating to the debt. Our records indicate that your date of birth had been entered onto our system incorrectly, therefore, the debt was not registered, however, when the account was transferred to our alternative system, the error was amended. When this occurred, our system automatically registered your debt with the relevant credit reference agencies.
I can confirm that we are receiving regular payments on this account and when the balance of xxxxx has been paid we will then update your credit file to show as satisfied.
I apologise for any inconvenience this matter may have caused and I hope that this concludes Wescot’s involvement to your satisfaction. If you require any further assistance then please do not hesitate to contact me.
i feel a bit hard done by , this account is about 5 years old , is there anything i can do about it.
